Blue Collar Dog Rescue

Meet the Dogs!

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! By doing so, you’re helping to save a life.  As with with most rescue organizations and shelters, we are providing our best guess as to each dog’s breed(s) and age. Contact us at rescue@bluecollardogrescue.com.
We rescue new dogs all the time. Many of them never make it up on this site. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with our latest dogs for adoption.

Ibis

Elegant Ibis. Her primary focus is her people. She is super smart, easy-going, thoughtful and very attentive. Past her puppy stage (this should be considered a real plus), she gets along fabulously with ALL the other dogs in the house. Easy on the leash. This three year old Malinois girl would love to be your best friend and companion. Stays home alone with ease.

She can be stubborn so often needs firm, but fair correction. With continued training, she is making great improvement.

Rush (ADOPTED!)

Sweet and lithe. We estimate that Rush is just under one year and around 50 pounds. She’s a wonderful combination of adventurous and compliant. She heeds a correction without much ado and is oh so ready to take direction from a devoted handler. Medium drive and energy level, Rush has the talent to excel at nose-work, agility, obedience, rally, service dog training, and much more. Alternately she might be just as happy at your side as your constant companion. She walks well on a lead, and will execute a very pretty sit upon your request. She has done well when left home alone ensconced in her extra large crate.

Thea (ADOPTED!)

One of seven pups. We are just getting to know these pups but if her parents are any indication, she like them, will have an unbelievably aalm & sweet temperament. Both parents are shepherds or shepherd crosses and of medium size. Dad is a classic black and tan. Mom is white. Available early April.

Talia (ADOPTED!)

One of seven pups. We are just getting to know these pups but if her parents are any indication, she, like them, will have an unbelievably aalm & sweet temperament. Both parents are shepherds or shepherd crosses and of medium size. Dad is a classic black and tan. Mom is white. Available early April.

Trigg (ADOPTED!)

One of seven pups. We are just getting to know these pups but if her parents are any indication, she, like them, will have an unbelievably aalm & sweet temperament. Both parents are shepherds or shepherd crosses and of medium size. Dad is a classic black and tan. Mom is white. Available early April.

Gregory Peck

Gregory Peck, always dapper with a tuxedo shirt and hat tipped, (uhm, I mean ear) tipped to one side. Gregory has been in foster with us through the Ukiah animal shelter and he deserves stellar reviews – He’s a happy guy who gets along with people and dogs. He’s taken no exception to any of the dogs in the house and I think he may also accept a cat. He enjoys walks, toys and mostly hanging out with his people.

Prim

Prim is a petite girl, about a year and about 51 pounds, with a classic Malinois physique. She’s so attentive and smart and eager to please. She gets what you’re asking her to do and typically complies within one or two corrections. (The second correction is sometimes necessary just because she seems to want to make sure she heard you right the first time 🙂 She is not a super high energy MAL – she’d make a great companion MAL, but that’s not to say that she doesn’t have an edge and isn’t watchful of the well being of her people.
